For Authors
Submit ManuscriptThe Global Studies Law Review encourages submissions of articles, book reviews, essays, and notes on topics of international, foreign or comparative law. We seek to publish excellent writing that adds to the scholarship in our field.
SCHEDULE
We operate on two formal submission windows each year: a spring submission cycle (for fall publication) and a fall submission cycle (for spring publication).
During each cycle, submissions are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis within the designated window. Authors are encouraged to submit early to take advantage of peak editorial capacity.
Our fall submission window for Volume 25, Issue 3 (spring publication for the 2025-2026 academic year) is August 1 through October 22.
Author decisions will be communicated in early November.
TOPIC
We only publish works that address an international, foreign, or comparative legal topic. We prefer to publish works that are novel, important, address a gap in the law, are relevant to current academic discourse and world events, or that otherwise add to the scholarship in our field.
LENGTH
We prefer to publish works of between 10,000 and 25,000 words, although we occasionally accept longer articles.
HOW TO SUBMIT
We accept both written and electronic manuscripts.
